Vortex Network (new)

The third annual re-design/development of the Vortex Network provides more features, greater usability, search optimisation and an integrated forum membership system.

In addition to being more asynchronous and standards compliant it also includes a complaints system, employee database and a centralised membership system.

With the exception of converting a Photoshop image into XHTML/CSS markup, and various design related tweaks/sub-pages, this was mainly a development role creating a theme and integrating the Gen2 PTC system.

I was primarily involved in bug fixing a poorly developed PTC MS along with the implementation of new features (such as a PIN system) and ensuring a smooth launch.

Using a range of contrasting colours I aimed to create something simplistic, easy to navigate whilst providing bold visuals and easy to access content.

Due to the new direction of my home site it has been replaced with a less "corporate feeling" and "services related" design.
